Being Global is not a unique challenge only for Indian HR managers. In a sense, all other HR professionals, irrespective the ecountry of origin, are facing the same challenge. All over the world people are not global. If any,Indians are uniquely positioned tobe among global HR Leaders due both their past and present. India's history and heritage prepares in Indian HR Managers to appreciate diversity and plural societies with ease. India's current economic progress based on "western"education prepares Indian HR managers with the required perspectives to be global. Yet there is a way to go since globalization and the place for Indians within that has just about begun. Being global is first a human issue, then professional and only thereafter an HR issue.
